O6- “FemSTEAM Mysteries” Teacher professional development program on promoting gender equality in STEAM

O6 gives to teachers and other relevant professionals guidance on how to implement the “FemSTEAM Mysteries” methodology in practice. A blended professional development course on promoting gender equality in STEAM through Serious games, Game-based activities and tools, and Role-models was developed and pilot tested within the project lifetime.
The course aims at developing participants’ knowledge and skills in teaching and learning using the “FemSTEAM Mysteries” methodological and didactical approach.

The output includes:
– A pedagogical framework and Curriculum definition: Layout of the structure of the different modules, phases, methodologies, learning outcomes for teachers.
– Instructional contents: A line of research-based curricular and instructional materials to be used during the professional development course.

The course content is available via a multilingual dedicated online platform. In addition to the course content, the platform offers access to various other links and resources. It will include:

(i) Methodological Guidelines for creating the framework of the “FemSTEAM Mysteries” project (O1)
(ii) Instructional Guide on Role-model education for promoting gender equality in STEAM (O2)
(iii) Instructional Guide on Game-based education for promoting gender equality in STEAM (O3)
(iv) Educational scenarios providing examples and ideas on how to integrate the “FemSTEAM Mysteries” game (O4) and didactical approach into the STEAM classrooms
(v) Collaboration tools for professional dialogue and support (forums, chats, wikis, etc.).

The course curriculum and key contents was developed in English and translated into all other partner languages. 
O6 is useful for ensuring the project impact and sustainability. It is directly connected with O1, O2, O3, O4, and O5, and the material created within them.
